Step by step procedure to troubleshoot Account lockout issues.


Troubleshooting steps


1à   Verify and idle remote session in the caller machine

Start à Run àtype the command “taskmgr.exe” and click on users Tab to see any RDP session on the caller machine and remove if any


2à  Remove the stored password from the System

               Startà Runà type the command “ rundll32.exe keymgr.dll, KRShowKeyMgr |R ” ( a window will open up as shown below)

Remove all stored password if any

3à  Vault for credentials in Windows Control Panel or Credential manager:
         Startà Runàtype the command “ explorer.exe shell:::{1206F5F1-0569-412C-8FEC-3204630DFB70} ” 
and Make sure Windows Credentials area is empty



   
4à  Remove stored password from browsing history.

Ø  For  Internet Explorer :
Open the Internet Explorer  and press this combination of keys-- Ctrl-Shift-Delete and click on the Delete button





Ø  For Google Crome :

Open the Crome   and press this combination of keys-- Ctrl-Shift-Delete and click on the Clear Browsing data button
  

  
Ø  For Firefox:


             Open the Firefox  click on the Options Button on top of the browser then go to security tab->click on saved password  and then Click on Remove ALL





5àRestart the System once all this steps done .
